Riddle of the Middle

Finally nailed down THE name only to realize you need to go thru it all over again for a middle name. These are names that could all (usually) go well in the middle name spot, making the link between first and last. For now they are all for girls, at a later point boy names might be added. It is a work in progress.
  1. Caroline
    • Claire
      • Elizabeth
        • Origin:

          Hebrew
        • Meaning:

          "pledged to God"
        • Description:

Elizabeth is one of the most popular girls' names of all time, the female equivalent of James or William. Yet Elizabeth has so much going for it—rich history, broad appeal, and timeless style—that no matter how many little girls are named Lizzie, Eliza, and Beth, you can still make Elizabeth your own.
      • Kathryn
        • Lee
          • Origin:

            English
          • Meaning:

            "pasture, meadow"
          • Description:

A name that has a bit of a shouldn't-I-be-a-middle-name sound, though still in use as a first for both genders. Lee might be a good choice if you want something that sounds at once traditional yet modern, unisex but not newly-minted.
        • Louise
          • Margaret
