This is just a bunch of names based on some of the zodiac signs and planets, specifically the ones in my birth chart and the ones I like.

    • Description:

      Better than Capricorn or Cancer, not as usable as Leo, the name of the Roman god of war becomes more possible as a baby name every day, as mythological names take the place of biblical names.
  2. Comet

    • Description:

      Soaring astral name has a great gender-free feel. It also has a pleasing christmas connotation, courtesy of the reindeer listed in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  3. Free
    • Origin:

      Word name
    • Meaning:

      "free"
    • Description:

      A sixties-style name that might work best as a middle.
  4. Libra
    • Origin:

      Greek
    • Meaning:

      "scales, balance"
    • Description:

      Appropriate for a girl born between late September and late October, Libra suggests both balance and freedom.
  5. Meribah
    • Origin:

      Biblical place name, Hebrew
    • Meaning:

      "quarreling"
    • Description:

      Though this Biblical place name is found among early American settlers, usually as a male name, today it sounds completely feminine. As a place name, its gender is mutable in any case. An unusual and intriguing Biblical option, albeit one with an unhappy meaning.

    • Description:

      Pretty sound, provocative meaning, but a little over-the-top.
  7. Peace
    • Origin:

      Word name
    • Meaning:

      "peace"
    • Description:

      Spaniards use Pax and Paz, Hebrew speakers Shalom, for Greeks it's Irene, so why can't we make the English word Peace a name? Peace Adzo Medie is the author of the novel His Only Wife.

      Norse variation of Philippa
    • Meaning:

      "lover of horses"
    • Description:

      Pippi may be cute but isn't very practical. In addition to being forever Pippi Longstocking, there is that variant pee-pee spelling to consider. Try Pippa instead.
  9. Season
    • Origin:

      Latin
    • Meaning:

      "time of sowing"
    • Description:

      A generic possibility if you don't want to specify Spring or Summer.
  10. Shade
    • Origin:

      English word name
    • Description:

      Nice sound, but double meaning -- shady glen or shady character.
  11. Shadow
    • Origin:

      English
    • Meaning:

      "shade"
    • Description:

      Better for a dog.
  12. Windy
    • Origin:

      English
    • Meaning:

      "windy"
    • Description:

      And her sisters, Stormy and Sunny.
